What is Satellite Speaker Technology?
Algo Satellite Speaker Technology consists of one main IP speaker and up to three satellite speakers. The main IP speaker connects to the network via a simple PoE/PoE+ connection. The satellite speakers are then attached to the main IP speaker in a daisy chain. When connected, the main speaker automatically powers and supervises the satellite speakers. Together, with this technology, up to four speakers can be deployed using only one network drop, one network port, and one SIP license.
The 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker and 8196 IP PoE+ Horn Speaker are IP speakers and the main speakers of the Satellite Speaker Technology system. They automatically distribute equal power to all satellite speakers connected and supervise for connectivity. These speakers are SIP-compliant and multicast-capable devices for paging, alerting, and notification.
The 1198 Satellite Ceiling Speakerand 1196 Satellite Horn Speakers are identical in appearance to their main IP speaker counterparts and have the same acoustical abilities. These speakers offer a considerable price reduction and can be deployed with up to three satellite speakers connected to one main IP speaker.
