Challenge

Autotek was seeking an upgrade from a Comdial premise based phone system which was a rock solid premise based telephone system with integration of paging horns. The owner, Brian Parada spoke to us about cloud based VoIP telephone systems and how our technology could replace his older phone system. Brian wanted to make sure he wasn’t going to lose any features or functionality. With our business VoIP phone systems we can fully integrate intercoms, bells, horns, strobes and all the devices needed. Another major concern was internet access, we needed to make sure the phones can stay online, even during an internet outage. 

Solution

The overall solution for Autotek included desktop phones, cordless phones, paging system, and a VoIP router for QoS with backup cellular service. The VoIP router with LTE will keep the telephones online, even during an internet outage. We installed Polycom VVX 311 Business Media Phones for the waiting area, offices, break rooms and in the garage. We also installed a few Polycom VVX D230 Cordless phones so the mechanics and managers can make and answer calls anyplace in the entire facility. We also installed an IP paging system and horns for announcements and ringing. For quality of service and internet redundancy we installed a Rabbit Run SD WAN router, and the phone system network is completely separate from the data network. This is a great example of a premise based phone system being replaced by a cloud based system with all the bells and whistles.
